Akara Design Studio was tasked with a full-service interior design project for an existing family home. The project scope encompassed sourcing, procurement, site project management, and installation, along with supplier liaison. Custom furniture, cabinetry, décor, and styling were key elements, ensuring that the home’s interiors were both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

The design process included space planning, selection of fittings and fixtures, and decorative lighting, with a focus on cabinetry design and bathroom vanity finishes. Tile selection, wall finishes, and feature walls, such as wallpaper and decals in the kids’ rooms, were carefully curated to enhance the overall atmosphere. The color schemes centered on light, neutral palettes to evoke a modern and luxurious feel, with custom furniture and accessories like curtains and blinds adding to the open-plan living style.

Special attention was given to the selection of fireplaces and braai areas, with custom designs enhancing the home's indoor-outdoor living experience. The design also included commissioned artwork, adding a personalized touch to the space. The overall style focused on modern luxury, with a light and airy feel that balanced comfort with high-end sophistication.
